The 2018 TCT7 Swim is scheduled for the weekend of September 8-9, 2018. The TCT7 Dinner will be held the evening of 8 September at 6 PM. The TCT7 Swim will be held the morning of 9 September, with opening ceremonies beginning at 7:30 AM. The swim will begin at 8 AM with the one mile event, and the 3.5 and 7 mile events beginning at 8:10 AM. Additional updates will be posted on the website.
The 2018 TCT7 One Mile Event will be held the morning of September 9th. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:30 AM, and the race begins at 8 AM. Cost: $40 through 29 August. Registration prices increase after that date to $45 from 30 August to 8 Sep, and $50 the day of the race (9 Sep). The one mile event is an out and back half mile distance along the bank of Long Pond. Kayaks line the course for safety, and swimmers keep the buoys on their left shoulders as they swim. Day of registration entry is available.
The 2018 3.5 Mile Event will be held the morning of September 9th. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:30 AM, and the race begins at 8:10 AM. Cost: $60 through 29 August. $70 from 30 Aug through 2 Sep. Registration closes for this event at midnight on 2 Sep to allow kayak escorts to be paired with entrants. The 3.5 mile event is one lap around Long Pond. The course follows the shore line except for one cut across the lower end of the pond. Entrants can bring their own kayak escorts, or request one be provided.
The 2018 7 Mile Swim Event will be held the morning of September 9th. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:30 AM and the race begins at 8:10 AM. Cost: $70 through 29 August. $80 from 30 Aug through 2 Sep. Registration closes for this event at midnight on 2 Sep to allow kayak escorts to be paired with entrants. The 7 mile event is two laps around Long Pond. The course follows the shore line except for one cut across the lower end of the pond. Entrants can bring their own kayak escorts, or request one be provided. Entrants must complete the first lap in under one hour and 45 minutes in order to begin the second lap.
The TCT7 Dinner will be held the evening of 8 Sep beginning at 6 PM, and is open to all. The dinner is included in the swimmer registration fee, but is open to anyone who would like to attend. Tickets are $15 at the door or can be purchased online at the registration site. Dinner options include barbecue chicken, vegetarian lasagna, green beans, cole slaw, salad, rolls, various desserts, tea, lemonade and water. In addition to the dinner, the evening typically includes brief remarks from James' parents, John and Tammy, along with music and a guest speaker.
The TCT7 Silent Auction is guaranteed to have something for everybody. Previous auctions have included golf outings, beach and mountain getaways, restaurants, gift baskets, and unique items you're sure to enjoy. All proceeds benefit the James Eunice Charity Fund. Items will be posted on the TCT7 Silent Auction Facebook page beginning in late July and early August. All bids close on Friday, September 8, at 8 PM. Items can be picked up at Long Pond on Saturday, September 8.
